STUDENT ALUMNI COUNCIL
The Student Alumni Council (SAC) is an organization that serves as a liaison between students and the alumni of the University of Georgia. The Student Alumni Council works in collaboration with the UGA Alumni Association and seeks to enhance the relationships between students and alumni by representing and promoting university traditions, instilling pride, bolstering spirit, fostering community, and educating leaders. I had the chance to host a Dinner with a Dozen Dawgs networking event with a Turner exec, speak at the Bulldog 100 event at the Marriott in Atlanta, interview honorees at the 40 Under Forty event at the Georgia Aquarium, attend Regents Gala, represent UGA at leadership conferences among 100 other universities in the USA, and was the senior editor for the G Book.
THE ARCH SOCIETY
The Arch Society provides service to the University of Georgia as official hosts and goodwill ambassadors. The Men and Women of the Arch seek to serve UGA at all functions where it is desired to have students welcome guests and visitors. The Arch Society seeks to advance UGA through service to the offices of the President, the Provost, the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Senior Vice President for External Affairs, Alumni Relations, the Athletic Association and other University offices or officials at appropriate functions. With the Arch Society, I gave tours to prospective students, assisted at all major events concerning the President of the university, held the banner for the football team at a major game, and promoted the traditions of the University of Georgia.
GEORGIA RECRUITMENT TEAM
I represented student body honestly and positively to prospective students and their families through giving tours, participating in student panels, and hosting students to shadow a typical school day. It was a priority for me to make high school students and their parents feel at ease and well taken care of during their visits to The University of Georgia.
KAPPA ALPHA THETA
I became a member of Kappa Alpha Theta in the Fall of 2011, then decided to take on leadership roles each year of my membership. As IT Director in 2012, I updated the sorority's website and ran the projector at all meetings. In 2013, I was the Alumnae Liaison in the Gamma Delta chapter working with past and present Thetas all over the country. Additionally, we did service events for the Athens area -- all major philanthropy events benefitted C.A.S.A, Court Appointed Special Advocates to support those in the foster care system.

THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA
Not one day that goes by that I do not stop to think about how grateful I am to The University of Georgia and the experiences I had there starting as a freshman in 2010 to graduation in 2014. There is nothing like the lively town of Athens, Georgia, the bulldog spirit and alumni around the country, the faculty/staff who equipped me with all the necesarry skills for the workforce, and I couldn't have asked for a better (or more challenging) education at the oldest state-chartered university in the United States. Here are some snapshots of my involvement including organizations, service, and awards, at The University of Georgia outside of a rigorous course schedule. Currently, I participate actively in alumni events in New York City. GO DAWGS!

Forever and always, I will be thankful to the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, one of the best journalism schools in the country which taught me invaulable skills to start my career and ignited my passion for media and journalism. Thanks to the professors, peers, coursework, and networking opportunities, I felt fully prepared to face the real world after college. The work and lessons I learned in school apply to everyday life and career experiences. Grady has given me countless opportunities to network with talented journalists from all over the country, report for over 90,000 homes in the Athens area, create mobile apps and award-winning news packages, intern at top broadcasting networks, speak at the Grady Centennial event as the Distinguished Young Alumni Speaker, and even meet celebrities as an attendee of the Peabody Awards.
